I see love.

Clock in, clock out,
Add hours to sheets and bags to eyes.
I leave the black, white and grey behind.
The elevator takes me back to the reality-
Of fast trains and slow trains,
Of crossing busy streets and navigating crowds,
Of the promenade next to the sea.
Lost souls sit and watch the ebb and flow.
Hawkers sell their wares.
Families talk, loud and soft,
Children claim the path as their own.
Friends mill around, cackling and chuckling,
Lovers and potential lovers talk and then some.
Some have their bags and earphones for company.
Some have loneliness and disenchantment for company.
And then there are the dreamers,
Oblivious to all and planning for something someday.
And so when I leave the black, white and grey behind,
I see love, I see love.
