There is a place, there is a place

Do you remember that Origami class
You and I were in tandem
Fold for fold, crease for crease

We made swans, boats, stars and foxes
We made homes, hearts and balloons
A sign for all things propitious

We chanced upon a stranger’s party
Between unknown stares and drunken dancing
The twirl ended with a perfect kiss

And one day, I packed it all up
I left you for home and all the things
I thought I had left behind

But we’ll meet again
Under the pink trumpet tree
In the garden of unspoken promises

[The title of the song is taken from the song ‘I Know Places’ by Lykke Li]
